To meet the requirements of all faculty and students for remote access to the library e-resources, as part of the close collaboration between the Network Information Centre of BNU and the Zhuhai campus, the library has made the new CARSI interface open. To gain access, users have only to log onto the unified authentication platform on the specified web page; there is no need to download a software client or to use the VPN.

More than 50 types of resources such as CNKI, Wanfang data, EBSCO, Emerald, IEEE and SpringerNature have been made available on this new service. The List of resources and the way to access them are as follows:

Method 1: WAYFless Link Address Login (simple, quick and easy, recommended)

Choose a database from the list and click “click to enter” under the corresponding WAYless link which will take you to the authentication interface. After logging in successfully, you can use the database off-campus. Please use the second method listed below if you fail to get access in this way, as the authentication portal link is still in test mode.

Method 2: General Login Mode

The general steps are as follows: go to the database homepage and select “log in via your institution” or “log in via CARSI”, then select ”China CERNET Federation” and navigate to “Beijing Normal University”. The system should then automatically take you to the authentication interface. In this way, users can access the databases off-campus. For the specific method to log in for each database, refer to the corresponding access instructions in the list please.

Login using the User ID and Password of “Digital Jingshi-Zhuhai” (Information Portal) .

Faculty: User ID is your 11-digit personnel number and your initial password is the last 8 digits of your ID card (or passport).

Students:  User ID is your student number and your initial password is the last 8 digits of your ID card (or passport).

Notes: 1.Make any letters lowercase. 2.Please retrieve the password in the information portal, and the password will take effect in 15 minutes.
