JCR is a journal analysis and evaluation database edited and published by ISI. Based on citation data from the ISI Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports provides a reliable statistical analysis method for the objective and systematic evaluation of global academic journals, helping users to understand global academic journals in a quantitative manner and the influence of an academic journal in the corresponding research field. The database contains nearly 8,000 journals from more than 3,300 publishers in more than 60 countries. These journals cover more than 200 disciplines. Users can order the retrieved journals in various ways as needed: impact factor, immediate index, total citations, total papers published, cited half-life, or journal name. JCR comes in two versions:  Sciences Edition and Social Sciences Edition. This version (natural science version) covers more than 6,100 international leading science and technology journals in the ISI database.
