The MEDLINE database has indexed nearly 20,000 periodicals published internationally, equivalent to a print index, like Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature and the International Nursing Index, including thousands of records with substantive summaries. MEDLINE contains more than 23 million records from 1950 to present. The database is updated daily.
