该数据库拥有大量书目数据及全文数据，由Education Research Complete (EBSCOhost)和Education Full Text (H.W.Wilson)的优质数据库加上许多新收录的独特全文期刊结合而成。Education Source是专为教育主修生及研究生、教育专业人员及政策制定者而研发，内容广泛，共计1900多种全文期刊，其中专家评审全文期刊有1500多种，500多种全文书藉，及各相关文献纪录连书评达四百万笔、十万个经控制及相互对照的考试名称。此外,还收录数万篇全球主要教育相关会议论文全文, 其中包括 AMA Winter Educators' Conference Proceedings, Psychology of Mathematics & Education of North America, Proceedings of the European Conference on e-Learning, Proceedings of the European Conference on Games Based Learning, Proceedings of the International Conference on e-Learning等。

在教育主题方面，Education Source涵盖幼儿教育至高等教育各个领域，更包括现时最备受关注的课题，如多语教育、健康教育及评估、成人教育、持续教育、远程教育、多元文化教育，以至政府拨款、社会问题、学生辅导、职业教育等。
